The picturesque and historic town of Ambleteuse.

Ambleteuse used to be a harbour protected by a fort built in the 17th century
Picturesque Ambleteuse, a village situated north of Boulogne and Wimereux, in the mouth of the river Slack.
Ambleteuse used to be a harbour. James II fleeing England arrived there in 1689.
Vauban's Fort Mahon built to protect the harbour, was used by Napoleon to moor port of his invasion fleet.
Nowadays Ambleteuse is a very quiet seaside resort where you can find fishermen's houses alongside decaying villas from the 1900's.
