Nausicaa, the National Centre of the Sea in Boulogne-sur-Mer
This centre is a museum that was inaugurated on May 17th 1991.
Today it is the largest European centre dedicated to the knowledge of marine and its life environments.
Nearly 800 000 visitors come every year to watch and admire
thousands of fish and other sea animals in 37 aquariums and large basins.
Visitors can see sharks or otters at very close range and even stroke giant skates.
