A photograph of the Town Hall

The square next to the Boulogne Town Hall is named after Godfrey of Bouillon (1061 - 1100),
Duke of Lorraine, who led the army of knights from the Meuse and Rhine region
on the first crusade to Jerusalem, conquered in 1099.
He was made sovereign of the Holy Gity, where he died soon afterwards.
