The Dover Patrol Memorial at the top of Cape Blanc-Nez

That obelisk was erected in honour of those French and British seamen
who died in defence of the Straits of Dover during the First World War.
It is a testimony to their close collaboration.
The Nazis blew up the monument during the 2nd Word War, but it was soon rebuilt afterwards.
