Cape Gris-Nez is a real cape.

Cape Gris-Nez is a real cape (more so than Cape Blanc-Nez) with its rocks jutting out into the sea,
resisting the onslaught of the waves. The Strait of Dover is a noteworthy point on a map
in so far as it is the place where the (so-called English) Channel becomes narrower
before opening out into the North Sea off Calais.
