From the top of Cape Blanc-Nez you can scarcely make out
the shape of Cape Gris-Nez in the distance.

Off Wissant (not seen on this photograph) the vast expanse of sand at low tide.
Close to the photographer a magnificent rape-field in full bloom.
It is a pity that its smell is so unpleasant for hay-fever sufferers,
who sneeze, cough and rub their eyes at the mere sight of the field !
The Village nestling below among the trees is Escalles.
