FLOBARTS
Those short deckless boats with broad hulls are locally known as FLOBARTS.

They are the pride of the coast north of Boulogne.
Wissant is the last French port where such fishings are grounded before being pulled inside the town by tractors. Fishermen sell their fish directly to locals, hoteliers and tourists.

There is every year a festival devoted to FLOBARTS. The way they are either set afloat or pulled back from the sea is a procession-like ceremony across the town.
